Karting Trailers
We sell both brand new and used karting trailers from the best kart trailer brand, Tickners, which are British made.
If you are lucky enough to be an owner of a kart and travel the country every weekend, then the must-have item for transport is a professional kart trailer. Built with ramps, tyre racks, deep pockets for bottles and cans which are all essential. We can even build your trailer with solar panels, internal and external lighting, MPPT controllers and batteries to power your gear off-grid while you race.
A note on Karting Trailers’ model names, sizes & weights
- GP models are 5′ wide, unbraked, single axle trailers with a max gross weight of 750kg
- GT models are 5′ wide, unbraked, twin axle trailers with a max gross weight of 750kg. The GT can be 6.5ft high.
- GB models are 5′ or 6′ wide, braked, twin axle trailers with a max gross weight of 1800kg. The GB can be 6.5ft high.
- A 7ft long trailer can accomodate a senior kart, but always consider a side door or shaped front with door to gain access to the gear at the front of the trailer, especially with the kart on the shelves.
- A shaped front adds about 1ft to the length which makes a big difference to a sports trailer, especially the smaller models. Also, aids towing behind a smaller vehicle.
- For plenty of space at the front, and if the budget allows it, go for a 955 with a shaped front. You’ll have loads of room to hang wet gear, get changed, carry spare parts, camp chairs & tables, keep leisure batteries and a fridge, or even add a kitchen sink with a water tank.
- A 750kg trailer is fine for karting and MX plus all the gear, but note that carrying multiple karts or bikes can stretch the 750kg weight limit, so you should look at the GB braked 1800kg models if you are carrying more than one.
